The tale of the Wall-Grabbing Lady
« on: July 09, 2014, 11:14:18 pm »

So here's the situation; I've gone to a mead hall to find the man who can direct me to a dragon's cave. Cool. While searching however I notice that the Lady of the mead hall has stood up. Then grabbed the wall. Then falled fell. Then stood up. Repeat.

Anyone else witnessed this odd behaviour?

Holy crap I can't believe I wrote 'falled'.

Yeah, I've seen a few people doing it.  Now that I think about it, I can't remember any of them who weren't nobles or (presumably) the children of said nobles.

It was inevitable.

This happens all the time. I also had a vampire swordmaster climb a tree and scream for help while I swung at him from below.

It seems NPCs were not told that they can't actually climb smooth walls.

Yes I had a similar event in Fort mode where a dwarf ran from a puking vulture and tried to climb up a constructed wall, and fell.

I had something similar happen to me in adventure mode. I entered a house with a single guy in it, and this guy climbed up the wall and repeatedly spit at me.

In another game I encountered a hammerman in a mead hall who spat at my archer then ran over to the hall's lady to spit in her face three times. I tried spitting back at him but he kept blocking it! Bastard.
