If you don't mind then you can exploit the fact that adamantine minecrafts use 1 waffer and give back 1.8 waffers. Just remember to not melt the mastercrafted ones, or you'll smiths will go insane. :3

A stack of coins gives back wafers at 1:1.1 - if you don't separate them. And they can't be masterwork.

Not that, you know. I'd do such a thing.  :-X

I think I'll stay with minecarts, really. I mean, how often does an Legendary +5 make those? I'm sure it's still be faster than coins. Besides, 180.000 dorfbucks of value is pretty dandy. ;)

If you imagine an 8-bit Hinata with elf ears, it gets even more ridiculous ^_^

About a third of the time, for masterworks.

If your metalsmith is at L+5, they probably have a bunch of masterworks either in active use or part of a building. It's pretty safe to melt down all the adamantine minecarts, and if your crafter's mood does dip dangerously they'll be producing masterworks frequently enough to lessen the impact of the bad thought.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

One thing to note about obsidianizing surrounding magma is that, well, you can't if the magma is sitting on SMR.  In this situation, major(ish) engineering is unavoidable.

Yeah, but it CAN be done. If you recall, the magnificent ITG has already documented how it can be done.

You could also use workshop profiles to ensure only less skilled dwarves make the minecarts, since they're getting melted down anyway.

So... we need to cage forgotten beasts to release on goblins, have bunnies on hand to kill titans, and only send out our dwarves if we're attacked by bunnies.
