The spoilers contain information for that character only.The first month of the year passes with nothing interesting happening. At least for the public eye. But meanwhile imperial organizations are working to the best of their abilities. The Inquisition is trying to keep their usual routine, in order to prevent Samael from becoming suspicious, but Nathaniel, the organization of supernatural investigators of the Church, is looking everywhere for more information about Samael.
At the core of the Empire, Lord of War Cale is starting a campaign to promote police forces into militar peacekeeping units. However, Prince Albert Daorland of Galgados has privately complained about what he sees as meddling into his own functions and rights. The recruitment campaign is expected to be finished by the start of March.
In Galgados, Arbiter Sigma starts his investigations. Although it will take some time to finish the investigations, it seems some of the ruins had a religious purpose. Some of the mosaics and sculptures remind of the seven archangels of christian religion.
Dullahan and Illion proceed to help with the training and recruitment. When asked, Argenta tells you that she doesn't know anything about Samael, but her mother used to receive letters from an unknown friend before she was born, and she has those letters in her house at Arkangel. Those letters where written on Sylvain language, so they might be of help.
Vorvadoss himself informs you that the mounted Heaven Knights that you requested cannot be given to you yet. Apparently the Order of Heaven needs a lot of troops for something.
In the South, training and the establishment of roads in Kashmir progresses. For now the Engineers have started to build some fortifications in the coast near the main ports of the nation. Acording to Rhapsodos reports, the locals could make for good scouts and guerrilla units. Apolyon investigations on Nanwe continue, but some of the local tribes have warned the Arbiter about hidden dangers in the jungle. Fortifications in Togarini are improved under Kerberos supervision, but at least 5 more months will be needed before some important improvements are made.
The Inquisitors have finished their investigations in Togarini, and although no spies have been located among the troops, they have discovered some important supernatural activities near Khaine, the capital of Togarini. Meanwhile, Arbiter Abigor, thanks to her friendship with Cardinal Lorenzo, has been given limited access to the Church files about Samael. Apparently one of the Fallen Angels is a being called Dinah, nicknamed "The White Queen". This Fallen Angel is suspected by the Inquisition to be the daughter of a Duk'zarist warrior and a Sylvain Princess, and she is both an incredible fighter and a fearsome wizard according to the Inquisition. For some reason, the name of "White Queen" sounds familiar to you, but you can't quite tell why.
In the cold North, The Shadow of the Emperor has established his base of operations in Moth. The number of troops has made the population of the Principalty get worried, but for the first time in centuries, people in the villages of the Principalty feel safe. Arbiter Arkain, acting as the public face of the Shadow, has managed to keep tension from rising due to the amount of foreign troops in Goldar, Haufman and Hendell. Meanwhile Abiter Laross is somehow managing to keep Gabriel's Archcancellor, Phaion's Council and Dwanholf's Prince from complaining due to the rivalry between this three Principalties. At least for a year, the Princes will try to focus their attention away from this issue.
Arbiter Castor has been preparing the ground in Moth. And she is worried. Moth has always been a dark place, and apparently Moth's reflection in the Wake (a paralel plane of existance related to dreams) is being disputed by several powerful entities. Castor says her people used to call these kind of creatures "Lords of Nightmares" because they usually drawed energy from the negative feelings of mortals. Apparently the separation between the real world and the Wake in Moth is quite fragile.
Meanwhile Arbiter Baegor has made an important discoverment regarding Samael. Apparently one of the Kami, the demigods that once ruled Varja and that disappared into the Wake during the war against Rah, has allied with Samael after being casted away from the Wake of Varja by his brothers. The entity is known by the name of Jingoku no Kami. Although his crime against the other Kami is unknown, Baegor trusts her informant completely on this matter. The little information that she has about Jingoku no Kami is that he is a extremely powerful spirit, but his link with the supernatural world means that he needs a medium or summoner to possess in order to manifest himself in the world.
In Eurakia recruitment keeps going at a steady pace. In Dafne the recruitment is slow, but it will probably be completed by March. Itzi is a different matter, and many tribesmen warriors volunteer to join the army, but training them into cohesive units means that at least one more month is required. In Pristina, recruitment of scouts is slow, but the Prince promises veteran scouts for the army of the Lord of Eurakia if he can have at least until September to prepare them. Meanwhile the engineers start with the construction of the fleet in Arabal, but at least 6 months will be needed before any ship can come out of the shipyard.
The Undines come with information about a number of powerful water elementals having taken residence in Arabal's seas and rivers. It is unknown wether they are allied with Samael or not, but they can be found in great numbers. Arbiter Umbra has also noticed that several nobles in Elcia have signed contracts with merchants of unknown origins to allow them access to some ancient ruins.
At the end of the month some bad news reach your ears. Inquisitor Dario Vargas, eldest son of the Supreme Inquisitor, has been found dead in Bellafonte. He was poisoned with a poison known as Ramalen Sap, a mystical poison that Duk'zarist used in their days of glory.
