My closest shave was playing the monster hunter mod as a felyne. Went to a necromancer tower, piles of large undead monsters. Having trained myself in throwing, I threw things at them, and then the necro himself popped up. He managed to not die to my throws, and cut my hand off. I picked my hand back up, rocket punched him with it, and then quickly picked his corpse up and threw it at the rest of the zombies. Kept doing that until they all died. Found the slab after a lot more zombies, and then resurrected ALL OF THEM. I carried my hand around to rocketpunch more things with it, and eventually died to an enormous goblin ambush. Nearly killed everyone, but lucky crossbow shot killed me before i could rocketpunch the bugger. I'm quite sure the zombies finished him off anyway.

Demanded a farmer give me his gold, he refused, I stabbed him in the throat and asked again. He was much more cooperative.

Would throwing a gauntlet count as rocketpunch?

I had lost a foot, and broken my other leg and an arm, and my companion was unconscious, fighting goblins deep in the catacombs.

I managed to kill five goblins with only a shield, and we both managed to escape alive. I was being attacked about twenty times per turn, but I caught them all on my shield.

Going to cross a river, first check nothing is swimming there. As I cross I see tho alligators, but they are far, I get to the other side.

As im walking away from the river I notice one of the alligators is chasing me, the thing runs faster than me!

Once it gets a few tiles from me I decide to drop baggage in order to outrun it. I remove and drop my backpack and throw my dagger (my only weapon after i lost my spear) at it fracturing a leg. I run a while until the alligator gives in to pain. I get my backpack and dagger back and pummel the alligator and break its legs until it regains conciousness, then I just run. Screw the bastard.

One time in adventure mode. A bogeyman showed up to attack my then-inexperienced adventurer. Thinking I would go down anyway, I hit him with the flat side of a sword. This made him roll off a hill and the words, "The cackling has ceased," appeared. He never back came up that hill.

Then there was a bandit chief that died of old age just at the start of a fight.
