Fast forward

I think there should be a fast forward option, double, or at most triple speed. The standard speed for Fortress mode is just too slow when you have everything set up to run autonomosly. Now it shouldn't fast forward through red messages, but the day to day activities of your fort do become monotinous. I've had to make my own fun many times.

There is an option to change the FPS cap. Fast forwarding is only possible if your computer is good enough to actually run significantly faster than 100 FPS. If so, changing the cap will allow it to do so. Otherwise, it can't just calculate faster because you ask it to. Most people's computers can probably go 2-3x at the start of a fort, but not late in a fort.

I'm not sure if there's any way to have an in-game menu or keypress to change the FPS cap. If there isn't, then I support there being one, so that it can function basically as the OP is requesting more conveniently.

Increase FPS limit: Alt+=
Decrease FPS limit: Alt+-

They're in General key binds, right on the first page.
