I check for the life-span of vulture and it is 10 - 20 years.

Reminds me of the story about the adventurer that died of thirst while being endlessly pummeled by a mule or horse or somesuch for days. You'd think there would be exhaustion for the attacker too. I wonder if creatures get skill ups from combat too? If so, they're both going to be grand masters, haha. That Sponge would probably be a good way to train up your hammerdwarves and macedwarves. I think ranged and edges weapons can kill it.

The vulture is still without any wound, while the sponge is in extreme pain. The vulture is flying above the sponge and may be too agile to be pushed. I think he has already forgotten that, when he came here a year ago, he simply intended to steal some fish.

Nope, only creatures with [learning] gain skills or attributes, so only humanoids like dwarves, elves, clowns who leave the circus in world gen, humans, animal men, etc.
