Need help about steam engine.
« on: April 27, 2014, 11:20:07 am »

I searched in forum and didn't find an answer, so I ask here, though it may be a stupid question. Where's the power?
I built a magma steam engine, filled magma and water beneath it, run the reaction to power. I've seen a 'boiling water' in the engine, and the two gear-like tiles in top left and top right are blinking. Everything is fine for now? I then build gears around the engine and none of them are powered. Why?

Check the dfhack readme. only the corner tiles transmit power, and you must build it in a specific order.

I built 7 gears on north and east of the engine, and all of them are built after the engine itself. None of them got powered.

Ask in the dfhack thread. Ag is the author of this plugin, he knows best.
