Got poisoned quite a lot, drank pot of curing.

Found a merfolk avatar. These prevent you from going AWAY from them.

Killed the avatar and read a scroll of fear.

Got surrounded by more monsters, read a scroll of lignification and another fear.

While I'm a tree, a dire elephant comes along. I guess this is it. Okay, it didn't notice me. Oh wait, it's there. Read a scroll of summoning.

Summoned a hydra.

Killed the elephant, but a wyvern comes along.

Reverted from treeform. 7 HP left.

Killed the wyvern. Running up the stairs.

Back to full HP! That was a close call.

Going back to the dungeon proper.



This is an unseen horror, that would be unseen if my hat didn't have see invisible.

Trog gave me +1 trident of protection. Sigh.

Found a scroll of brand weapon. Taking the gamble with my trident.

Freezing! NICE!

Found Rupert the berserker. Fight fire with fire is the plan here.

Cleared D:12, off to the Orcish Mines!

Trog gave me a demon trident. Cool.

+1 demon trident of draining. Is this better than +4 regular trident of freezing?

Orc caster confused me, drank curing and went berserk.

Found a nice amulet in a shop, don't have enough money though.

There's an entrance to a bailey AND an ice cave on this level. I have to do one quickly to get to the other, too. Asked on IRC, ice cave is more consistent with rewards.

Found the cave.

There are lots of freezing vapors there, but I resist them almost all of the time. Most enemies aren't threatening.

Spoke too soon. Frost giant.

Berserked and killed it.

Found some loot.

The bailey isn't closed yet...

The portal closed while it was in sight and 3 steps away.

Went down, found lots of ugly things. Berserking.

12 hp left.

Due to a lack of input, playing DrFE (Draconian Fire Elementalist). A caster that focuses on offensive spells.

Found +5 evasion ring.

The starting spell is Flame Tongue, a somewhat short-ranged but accurate and somewhat powerful spell.

Reached level 2 and memorized Throw Flame, a longer-ranged, but less accurate version of flame tongue.

Found Natasha. Dangerous due to me having limited MP.

1 HP left, but I lived.

Found Yiuf, Conjure Flame'd the door on his hut, pelted him with flame tongue until he died.

Gimme that nice quarterstaff of chaos!

Zombified an orc wizard with the staff.

Found Book Of Changes. Might learn a spell or two if I have levels to spare. Which I don't at the moment.

Found +2 ring of slaying. I'm becoming a ranged death machine and a melee death machine. Nice.

Crimson imps are immune to fire, so my best bet is meleeing the thing to death.

Found TWO ogres. Conjure Flame-killed one, running from the second one.

Black color. Can breathe lightning, but I hoped for red so I can get improved apts.

Found Grinder. Running!

Killed him.

Entered an ossuary.

Left with some potions and scrolls.

Reached the Ecumenical Temple, no altar to Vehumet, picking the Sif Muna altar I found earlier.

Memorized Fireball, one of the best early-mid game FE spells IMO.

Found two-headed ogre. Running.

I ran, found an orc warrior. Running yet again.

Changed him into an ice beast. Hehehehehe. Eat Flame Tongue! Or, it's too tough for that. Just bashed it apart.

Found Menkaure and Blork the orc. A double-barreled unique fight just won't do, luring one.

Okay, they both woke up.

Menkaure tormented me.

Menkaure turned invisible and killed me. Sigh.
