i have a nook simpletouch. i managed to break the screen. i need to know how to turn it off without using the touchscreen. does anyone know how?

There should be a physical power button somewhere on the thing.  According to the link above, it's on the back.  Just hold it down and keep it held down for 20-30 seconds.
