From what I understand, most of the issues around pricing in Brazil are because of Brazilian government.  Their tariffs are kinda brutal on electronics and software.  I think Valve would be happy to make better arrangements, if only the bureaucrats would cooperate.

All that said, Brazil has larger problems than vidja gaemz pricing.  I don't expect it'll change any time soon.

All that said, Brazil has larger problems than vidja gaemz pricing.  I don't expect it'll change any time soon. 

We don't pay in dollars, though, which was the complaint of others. I think other countries are forced to pay in dollars just because they're in a trade bloc with us. And those that aren't have to just because they share the continent.

Surprisingly, however, there are zero (yes, really) taxes and tariffs on purely digital goods.
