I strongly recommend against using WiFi on a server. It's just stupid to do that >_<

See: High latency, low bandwidth. Everything you don't want on a server.

Unfortunately while I understand the limitations of wifi in the case of the laptop there is no alternative because as much as I want a 15m long ethernet cable upstairs to where I store It I cannot.

Luckily however, I tested out the desktop and it is alright now to be used 24/7.
