How did I find DF?
Watching Jefmajors Dwarf forty lets plays. :O
He is now known as One F Jef.

I was searching for some roguelikes,  when DF cropped up. Apparently I struck adamantine - and right away into the HFS.

First, I am a fan of One F Jef after watching his Silent Hunter videos (even when things go horrible he refuses to give up or back down).  I also play Minecraft and somebody told me it was based on the idea of a first person DF game.  After a while I watched other DF videos on Youtube (all of which always seemed to name a Dwarf after Jef, either of the names he used).  So I HAD to get it.  My first few games were all fails but funny.  I decided to get serious and grabbed the 'Getting Started With Dwarf Fortress' and have been playing it ever since.

I was reading about the game Prison Architect. I learned DF was an inspiration so I checked it out. The rest is history.
