Kyle:Walk towards the smoke with hilt drawn.
Your hilt may not be able to actually shoot anything, but you figure that it at the very least might disincentivize anything from attacking you.
Intimidation: [6] You walk towards the smoke, and eventually hit a road leading into that direction. As you walk along it, you see somebody walking towards you.
It's a man, presumably a peasant, judging by his clothing. He's carrying a basket full of vegetables on his back.
He notices you, and stops. He's probably seen your plasmaswordthrower, as he starts panicking and screaming.
"Oh gods, please don't hurt me! I'm just a poor man delivering this here food! I don't have any money!"
You try talking to him, but he interrupts you.
"Here! Take this! Just please don't kill me!"
He drops the basket off his shoulders, and turns around, running away while screaming like a teenaged girl at a pop concert.
The smoke is now very close by, just past the next hill from the looks of it.
Dark Paladin:Look around. Are there any other people around, and if so, who?
Observation: [3] Not much going on around. The road ahead's clear, and the only thing that's moving is what you think is a bird of prey diving for the kill.
Not much of a surprise, though. Civilization's 'round the other side of the castle, just next to the cliff it's been built on.
As for other people, there's just this one other guard keeping you company. One of them serious fellows, with a large fuzzy hat.
You don't think he's ever moved since you've been here. Either he's dead, or he knows how to sleep while standing.
Cromewell:Look around for anything that doesn't suck. Land there if applicable.
Observation: [2] You see some buildings in the area, but your goggles are so smudged with dead insects that it's hard to make out exactly what they are.
Cursing your lack of wiping tissue, you steer towards a large flat space and start descending.
Landing: [1] Turns out it wasn't so flat after all. The area has quite a share of hills, and you manage to steer right into one.
Injury: [2] You mess up the initial touchdown, and feel a sharp pain jolting up your leg. Before you can react, you crash into the ground, and do a few rolls before friction finally slows you to a halt.
Status update: fractured right ankleNew Skyrunning skill rank: Sitting DuckAlek:Climb out of the hole
Climbing: [4] The hole is only a few metres deep, and the walls offer plenty of handholds.
Having reached the top, you walk away a few feet to avoid accidentally falling down again, and wipe of your clothes.
Observe (auto): [4]As you glance around, you notice that there's a fence surrounding the hole. Good idea, you think. Not that it helped you any.
You also notice a rather large cliff on the other side of the hole. You can make out a stone tower on the top.
You hear some noise just around the cliff.
Vincent:ASK THE BARTENDER IF ANY BADDIES NEED A'SLAYIN'.
Inquiry: [3] You enter the pub, and identify the landlord as the gruff looking man standing behind the counter, wiping empty glasses.
They're not actually that dirty. He just does it to keep up appearances when not serving.
"ME NAME'S VINCENT HEARTHSTEAD, AN' I'M 'ERE TO SMASH UP THA BAD GUYS.", you introduce yourself. "YE KEN ANY WHO NEED SOME GOOD BASHIN'?"
"Sorry mate, but all I do is serve second rate booze and overpriced packets of peanuts. What you're looking for is the Quest Hall, right across the road."
Well that was embarassing.
Achievement get: Missed The Update! Somebody hadn't sent in an action before the GM updates.
New Mechanic Unlocked: Action delay! If you miss an update, your action gets carried over to the next round. That means two actions for that round! Pretty convenient.
