I recall a thread where a kitten got the killing blow on a forgotten beast, but this is still pretty damn awesome :D.

That kitten was no kitten at all. T'was a Saber tooth cub in disguise. There's no other explanation.  :P

I am imagining a huge troll, bearing down on a lone injured dwarf, when suddenly a kitten comes flying out of nowhere and latches firmly onto the trolls face, biting and clawing him, while the troll thrashes around trying to get him off.

I'm doubtful about the legitimacy of this, since we don't know what made the troll faint in the first place. All combat consists of a lone kitten biting an unconscious troll, which certainly speaks for the kitten's pluck, but not really for its efficiency.

That said, i did have a forgotten beast on record which bled to death and had its demise attributed to a common housecat. I've no idea if this was just some sort of flimsy creature or if one that had been clawed badly enough to draw blood took fatal damage from something else and had the last lousy point shaved away by bleeding. Of course, i had a memorial engraved for the beast, so its shame (and the cat's fame) could live forever.
