I got the alert, rush everyone to the Safe House and position my Squads.  Unfortunately, one Trader/Woodsdwarf was caught in the open.  Suffice to say it was not pretty (I have 3 pages of him being strangled).  It blazes past the cage traps, only to have several large boulders dropped on his head, straight into my team of ace Marksdwarves.  It took me a few minutes to find him and confirm dead, b/c I was looking for a Human.  Turns out this WereLizard was actually a Goblin   I'm betting the previous Goblin Horde tipped him off about the first row of Cage Traps

Not the most creative defense (yet), but enough to get the job done.  Given all of the usual problems with a newbie Fortress (can't tell if my Tracks are broken or I'm just using stone faster than it can accumulate, channeling a water source from a frozen river, etc.), I am still rather pleased.
