Age question.

If you play as a megabeast, is it possible to get an Age of Playername?

Theoretically yes, basing on these considerations:

1. Ages are named after historical figure MBs
2. Adventurers are historical figures
3. It is possible to change ages during play

However, I believe it will be "The age of PlayerRace"

Not if you're the only notable one around: http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2012:Calendar#Ages

I assume in theory you could. As long as you can assume control of a beast. If you do be sure to post!

Hmm, i remembered going from "Age of the Swamp Titan" directly to "Golden Age" when the swamp titan, who was the only notable power of the age, visited the fort and got itself beheaded.

Quick worldgen, and right enough: 54-328, The Forest-Titan Age
"The Forest-Titan Age was a time when the forest titan Tequil Coatsky the Nut of Rock was the only great power in the world."

Seems that the default convention for a single-power age is the power's "species", not their individual name. Those were both in pocket-size worlds, in case that matters.

Any ideas on how to test the idea more efficiently?

Mod in a playable dragon adventurer, generate a 5-year-old pocket world with 3 or 4 megabeasts and go kill them all with your dragon.

You might also need a large enough kill list, otherwise you might end up with an Age of Legends/Heroes. You also have escaped Clowns to consider, I think.
