So I was playing Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 and I was making a family in the game (based on my own) and suddenly had a crazy idea. Why not make the same family (with the same clothes) in the Sims 3 and then roleplay, pretending that it's the same family taking a vacation while playing Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 and after the family leaves the park, I control them in the Sims 3.

And then I started having even more ideas. Imagine creating your own universe with multiple games and then roleplaying. For example, creating an empire in Civilization IV and then in the 21st century, you create a city. And then you create that city in detail using SimCity or some city construction game and then, you recreate a neighborhood from that city in the Sims 3 and then control a family. Then you could a character, and then make him a hacker. And then every time you start hacking to earn money, you switch to Uplink and hack for some time.

The possibilities are endless. So I thought of sharing this wild, weird idea with you guys and coming up with a hypothetical yet plausible roleplaying 'universe' created by combining several video games together.

It sounds like Spore in reverse (in the sense of the number of things you control) and with less disappointment.

Sim Copter would let you build a city in SimCity, then play it in SimCopter, which was pretty cool.

It may be possible to link a couple of different games together with some clever scripting.  Not really sure how that would work though.

Maybe with Civ5 you could tie a bunch of games together.  One cool way would be to make a mod for Civ5 that decides the outcome of a battle with the outcome of a different game, AKA a round of chivalry can change the outcome of a battle between units in Civ5.

Tying SimCity into civ5 would be harder though, as it would have to take place in the modern times.
