metamorphic skin?

Looking through the health log of my wounded legendary axedwarf, I noticed that he was "diagnosed with metamorphic skin". Any ideas what this is?

are you using any mod? Did you change anything? it sounds like fun though. I know metamorphic rock exists, but as skin it's new to me.

I'm using the LFR mod. It looks like it might be an infection.
