RISE OF THE BEASTS!

Download: http://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=13672

My mega and semi-megabeast mod.

THE BEASTS:

Baron of Chaos, Hellion of Disease, and Countess of Lust: A trio of demon types who were among the first to escape the Underworld. Surprisingly weak compared to normal demons.

Manticore: A three eyed big cat with a man's face and a stinger tail filled with necrotic poison.

Atrocity of the Gods: A horrible humanoid beast made from leftover bits and pieces from the creation of life by the gods. Which god made it? No one knows...

Demigod of Goblinkind (Semi-Mega): A super powered goblin blessed by the now forgotten goblin gods.

Also includes the Shadowscale Dragon and Aqua Asp from Culture Shock.

Could I request some kind of giant crustacean monstrosity?

I was thinking upper body and claws of a lobster with the lover body and legs of a spider crab and maybe some more extraneous crustacean limbs thrown in there, but anything will do.

Why stop at "giant crab"? Make a giant pistol shrimp with an explosive claw-cannon attack!

... Actually, that may be a bit more difficult. I don't think emission interactions have a velocity variable, so it'd be quite difficult to shoot something hard enough to deal damage unless it's faked adamantine or something.

Just have it do an emission interaction that shoots a ball of something with stupid high density and call it 'shock wave', it'll tear right through anything it hits. That would actually be a pretty cool idea, and then you can go for mantis shrimp after that.

Heya, dudes. As you might have known, this mod hasn't been given much in its' life. So, I've decided to do a bit of a something something. Just like Teh LOLmod, I'm making this a community mod where people can add stuff to it and what not. I just gotta give it the thumbs up and update the mod with these additions. This sound cool?

Here's something for you - not megabeasts, but certainly entertaining. Clockwork cavern crawlers!

Brass Beetles have big stabby horns.
Copper Crustaceans have snatching claws.
Silver Scorpions have snatching claws, as well as a tail full of liquid mercury.
Tin Termites have acid bites that cause necrosis - and aggressive rusting in Iron Men and Bronze Colossi!

I wonder if being forcefully injected with mercury would actually have any short term effects, I know you'll be destroyed in the long term, but I think you'd be fine short term. Maybe you could have a super long term effect that kills you with a low chance.

The "slow insanity" effect of mercury poisoning is generally caused by breathing trace amounts of mercury vapor over a long period of time.  I'm pretty sure that having any significant amount of liquid mercury injected directly into the bloodstream would kill you almost immediately, probably through paralysis (it interferes with the nervous system).

Edit: Maybe not.  Apparently elemental mercury tends to form clumps and is actually less dangerous when injected into the blood than it is when inhaled.  It will still kill you, of course, but not as quick as might be expected.
