I run this game at 1024x768 for reasons, and the new layout looks like someone vomited windows all over the screen.  It's absolutely unplayable until I figure out how to revert it back to the old.

Your production pretty much grinds to a bloody halt if you leave it idling, it's all about getting those kitties and

It was doing quite well. Progress was so slow that I was already wondering how anyone could ever get any enjoyment out of it, but at least it wasn't doing any harm running in the background. I checked it now and then, grabbed kitties when I saw them. My production was up around 200k per click, which seemed good, and I was getting a few thousand castles each time around. The bots produced 126 castles each and I had 20 of them. I was finally starting to feel like I was making actual progress.

Now I'm set back a fucking WEEK. And for no apparent reason that I can see. The layout is hideous, and after the game lost my save, there is no way in hell I'm putting in effort to make the screen look the way it did before, which was fine.

I feel like this "game" is just a giant practical joke, a way of getting people to waste their lives staring at a screen while literally nothing happens 99% of the time, plus a huge bonus FUCK YOU to anyone who actually has better things to do. I lost a WEEK. I lost count of how many kitties I got in that time, how many minutes I spent clicking during blitzing to bring the rivers castle destroying rate down. And after all that, it was just on the edge of starting to be fun, I had just unlocked the glassmaking boost and was saving up enough castles to buy it, when the fucking thing just said "nevermind, I'm taking it all back, sucks to be you." I'm not fucking doing it again.

Kind of you, but I think I'm probably better off without this game. I've just gotten Starbound, so. My sparse free time will be spent on that for a while. : )

It's not a feature to get wiped. You experienced a bug or human error.

I lost nothing during all the recent updates. I've lost 0 save games for any reason, only once because I cleared my cache and didn't realize what I'd done. So I find it hard to believe that saving is just broken for some people.

If your sand production was 200k a click and you were only making a few thousand castles per ONG, I'd say you had your priorities backwards. I'm generating 68k a click, but my castle production is somewhere around 4 million an ONG.

I lost all my castles to a certain event (18 million of them) and still made 1.8 million on the ONG and my Newpix are building 1.5 million by themselves. (22.5k per bot, 30 bots)

I love how the game tosses around terms without explaining them. Mostly the ninjas at my point, but a lot more at the beginning. It makes me really excited to figure it out. (On my own, ofc; wikis kill mystery games like this.)

To many inside jokes for me. I really like the authors Questions blog, but the comic does nothing for me. I still don't know what Longpix are and when it happens.

I think I may have badly explained. I meant "click" in the sense of "unit of time in the game." The units of time on the clock are not seconds so I defaulted to "click" - clicking the mouse got me about 1k sand. If I remember correctly, I was getting about 200k sand per unit of time, about 4k castles on the ONG, and as I said, something like 126 castles per robot. I remember I needed 144k castles for the next river and 50k for the next sand bag, but I was waiting for the 500k castles to get the glass.

I'm not going to start again. It's not exactly like I was having fun. I was just waiting and waiting for it to get fun, since everyone on here kept raving about how amazing it was. I never saw anything amazing in a week, and I'm not going to waste another one just to get to the same place. The thing is, I still can't understand what happened. The save I reverted to was about a week old, as I said. But, as I also said, since that save got made I saved, restarted the browser, and reloaded the game many times without any problems. I could understand if it reset me back to zero, having lost my save, but why revert to a save that was simply very outdated? Why was that save kept for all this time? Why is *that* the point I got sent back to? It doesn't make any sense.

You encountered a bug or it was entirely human error. The saving system works perfectly on my browser. I suggest making a bug report instead of lambasting the game. You also got an export code, in the same area where you were..

Ah, I see. Clicks in the game are mNP.

I understand your frustration. If the same had happened to me, I also would not start over. One of the reasons I like it is it gives me something to do while I take breaks from games (like DF). I tend to game for an hour or so and then surf for a while, so Builder is a nice diversion but certainly not anything I'm attached too. I'd like to see the endgame just for lulz, but not badly enough to start over.

This new layout is quite possibly the ugliest UI I've ever seen. I think I like it.

You can just use the old UI...Right next to play it says Classic Interface.

I have adjusted my UI to a point where i'm pretty happy with it.

Has some issues though, like having to hide some frames to view others, due to space shortage.
