So the Legend shows up
« on: November 05, 2013, 06:35:07 am »

I just started a new fortress, and this dude shows up in 1st migration wave:

Spoiler: "About him" (click to show/hide)
He's not a vamp (or at least dfhack thinks so). I play latest Masterwork release.
WAT.

It's mildly depressing.

Sounds like some kind of bug with the mod, ask in the section for the mod.

I don't see the problem. He's just a dorf with great stats. It happens, be happy?

How are his combat and social skills. A legendary teacher/organizer would easily give you a legendary everything military very quickly.

Well, if it was one, okay cool he got a super-rare dwarf, but the OP said that two more dwarves exactly like that appeared in another migrant wave. I don't know how the Masterwork mod works in that regard, but Meph will know if that is intended behavior or not.

Is there anything nifty in the Legends file about these guys? What have they killed?

iirc, masterwork has some 'extra' features, including migrants like this. As mentioned bu smjjames, the people at the masterwork mod may be able to answer masterwork related questions better and faster. It's got its own subforum in the modding section where you can discus and ask questions

My last time playing master work most of my migrants had to kill a lot of monster while traveling to my fortress.

Most of the dwarfs had 20-30 kills and really good weapon skill; Some going over 150+ kills

In 2 years had 3 squad full of killing machines.

Legendary in everything though? The awesome attributes could just be you rolling a critical success on good traits on a dwarf, plus whatever historical training he had.

Yes, legendary on everything.
Both dorfs from 2nd migration wave were same, including attributes.

I dropped that game cause it seemed like cheating to me.

legends for Iton (everything that happen before migration to my fortress):

Yeah, getting one in a game would be incredible luck, but three, with two in the next migration wave? Seems like a stastistical improbability to me.

I'm not familiar with masterwork, though I read over the feature list some time ago, and I do remember something like super-migrants in that list. It could be a feature specific to masterwork. Still probably a lot of luck, but not as much as would be required in vanilla where it's pretty much impossible
