Adventure mode wrestling?

I've played a lot of adventure mode but I have never tried wrestling so I tried it out. But for some reason I can't find the prompt to grab with my hands. How do I grab with hands?

Are your hands free?

You can't grab if you're carrying something in your hands.

when you attack (shift-a) press enter and it should switch to a wresting move
