Need Help with Graphics Sets

I would like to install a graphics set (I love the normal, but adventure mode is too much without clarifying graphics). I have no idea which one to use or how. Also, I would like to use my existing save files/worlds with the new pack. If anyone could help, that would be great.

Which pack did you end up getting? I am in the same boat and starting to get back into the game again today, and am not sure which one is easiest to use/the most detailed.
