That does not cover everything. You can order people to Defend other people, you can order people to Defend themselves, et cetera. There has to be a Support Order that gives a +1 to these actions.

Hmm, what about:

Dropping the rolling mechanics and instead apply conditional boost?

Offensive Order: +1 to Hit to companions attacking this turn.
Defensive Order: +1 to Evade to companions defending themselves/others this turn.

Not enough versatility. Orders would be useless if you couldn't assign a specific order to each squadmate.

Conditional boost is good, though: one less variable to consider in one's tactical assessments. The best condition for the conditional boost would be that the recipient of the order follows it instead of just attacking a different target or hiding in the dumpsters.

Hmm. I had my own suggestions to make, but they'll wait until I'm on a better typing medium.

Morningstar is objectively worse than the Halberd by the way, except barely slightly better against Aketons. Not even then if you factor in Bluntmaster vs. Spearmaster.

At one moment I was opting to ban the 'short sword + plate armor' combo :P

For the record, I was hoping for chain mail and a large shield, not plate.

Medieval Fodder: Symphony of Darkness For those of you who feel like you missed out on even more senseless, bloody slaughter this Haspen approved game follows the same basic rules with a few new changes such as new weapons, new commands, etc. etc.

I figured some of you may be interested so... There ya go.
