Every time I have a reason to bring up the (r)ooms menu I cringe at how awkward it is to use - you have to page through every single building (and unfinished construction) and it is sorted in exactly one way with no choices available. I think it has the potential to be very useful if only you could
(1) Restrict the display to only certain types of structures (e.g. only workshops, only furniture, only in-progress constructions)
(2) Sub-select certain types, e.g., not all furniture but only beds
(3) Sort by something other than room value such as building owner or material (e.g. so you can find that special Obsidian lever)
(4) Toggleable options such as "only show furniture with an assigned room," "show furniture that is owned/unowned/all"

This would let you easily do simple tasks such as:
(1) find specific workshops: (r), workshops, magma forges, (z)oom
(2) easily count the number of unowned beds to see if you need to order more: (r), furniture, beds, show unowned
(3) make use of your obsession for material-coding things: "Hm, I made it so every lever and gearbox in my magma trap system was obsidian, so I can find the activation lever by:" (r), furniture, levers, sort by material

And probably more.

I think it'd be easier if a (r)oom was only a room if it had a specific set of items/furniture in it, e.g. a bedroom will only be a bedroom when it has a bed and coffer.
