Go and do some limb knots for that demon.

If he isn't playing a mod, the only way he's going to wrestle a deity is if he manages to become a wereelephant or something bigger.

I have a giraffe brute who spits fire posing as the deity of greed. Tried killing him with a legendary swordsman (after slaughtering all the men at night), never could penetrate his *large cloak*...had more luck with a legendary hammerman. Crippled him, but never could kill or knock him unconscious. I spent almost an hour wailing at him when he went prone. 30-40 fractures to the skull later his head never went past yellow.

At one point he latched on to my toe with his teeth and kept me latched to him for half the battle. It was funny imagining him breathing fire through his clenched teeth and still missing me. Eventually fatigue/sleeplessness knocked me out and he melted me.

That large cloak is impenetrable because since he's so big, the clothing is also very big

Therefore the clothing is bigger than your weapon :x

Some people have suggested grabbing a demon's armour and pulling it off: drop whatever's in your hands, wrestle and choose to grab the cloak/robe/etc. with your hand and when successful, move one tile away. If you manage to maintain the grip, you should gain possession of the item. I've never tried it, so can't say if it really works - if 'disrobing' a creature like this requires a successful wrestling check, it would automatically fail against a demon.

If you have good skill with an edged weapon against an organic demon, you can perform aimed attacks at exposed body parts (fingers and toes, mostly). With a lot of patience, you'll eventually open enough arteries to make it bleed to death.

If a dozen headshots only cause broken skull and never touch the brain, you can safely assume they'll never succeed and you should try something else.
