Yeah, Tactics is also very.. tactical. Play it only once you're used to the FO1+2 combat system and enjoy it.

I don't really feel Tactics is worth playing, it's just a dumbed down Jagged Alliance with a Fallout styled character system. It's not even a canon game, so unless you're looking to play it purely out of curiosity, I wouldn't bother.

Yeah, it was a major letdown for me, I expected freeroam and squad combat. It's still not a terrible game though.

Could someone toss up a copy of FO2 with the restoration mod it installed? GOG version just uses WINEskin to get the game working.

Bear Dude's fan patch used to be mac friendly, but now that it needs that program to hack the game executable it no longer is.

Just to be clear: Are you asking someone to give you the game so you don't have to buy it or are you trying to get some mod support?

The NMA Restoration Project patch isn't mac friendly. I was asking for a copy of that already done. I got it  when the sale happen.

Though in the mean time I did find a step by step process to apply the patch for the gog mac version. Its a bit long but looks doable.

Man, I have been wanting the same thing – I've never been able to get that restoration mod to work and I am also on a Mac. Let me know if you manage to get it working. FWIW I've bought Fallout 2 at least three different times (including the once from GOG).

I've wanted a hard copy but have avoided ebay for reasons.
This'll tide me over till I get a lucky find.

Restoration patch is a must.

Also the resolution mod for F1 and F2 makes it look MUCH better. The graphics in their original resolution look pretty dated, but at a higher res the art really looks beautiful.
