What should I do now?

Well I found a fortress in the wilds far from civilized life and me and my pikeman buddy are looking at an INSANE amount of goblin blood, like a blood bank of goblin blood spilled over the floors, also I see some evil-looking Turkey Hens walking around the blood, what should I do because if I meet whatever did this I think me and my buddy are probably going to die a horrible death, but that does count as fun....

It's most likely the hens or the resiednt dwarfs.
If it is indeed the hens, RUN LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER.
If it's not the hens, venture in.

Tell us more.

Is there any corpses or loot? Are those hens stray or wild? Do they kill you?
