I recently acquired my first 4 nobles all at once along with 30 immigrants. It was quite the jump from 18 to 52 dwarfs. Anyway, the nobles have requirements and I've managed to fulfill all of their requirements except for weapon racks and armor stands. I have the armor stands and weapon racks in their bedrooms. They are assigned to them and the weapon stands and armor racks room takes up the whole space. For some reason, they won't recognize owning weapon racks or armor stands still. I’ve heard horror stories about angry nobles and decided it’s was a good time to take a break and find the answer for this one instead of experiment.

they count if you put them in one of the noble's owned rooms without creating an armory.
