I had a cave fish man vampire show up as my human liaison once. Bastard drained one of my haulers while waiting for the baron, and I couldn't convict him because he wasn't part of the civilization. Diplomatic immunity, I guess.

I also had a fairly epic vampire queen in a world I genned a few months ago. Something like 15000 kills, which of course isn't hard for a vampire; but she was the daughter of a noble (the general, I think?) who went AWOL in the middle of a war to pursue the secrets of life and death. She took over his position and had some success, until she gave up the position to join a cult, which of course is where she was cursed. Apparently somewhere in the course of moving from settlement to settlement someone recognized her as the badass former general and they gave her the crown, only to learn shortly afterwards that they had made a horrible mistake...

I should still have that save around here somewhere. If y'all are interested I could see about looking for it.

I have a queen vampire who is currently walled up in her room by the means of iron bars.

I plan on looking into her history once my fortress collapses. I could, of course, just make a extra save and look into it, but waiting makes it more obvious that she's an immortal psychopath responsible for the death of over ten-thousand dwarves and humans.

is it weird that I kill a lot of my nobles like this, or in similar ways? no matter if they're vampires nor not...
everyone else seems to have these really cool ways like dropping them into a magma pool or something. I just kill them.
