This sounds nice but why do you need to embezzle money? Its your business not someone elses.

If the business is entirely your own, you don't need to embezzle and can just pay yourself dividends. However, businesses would be expensive to start up, and would require other people to invest initially, who would want a cut of the money. Embezzling would let you try to get  moneywithout needing to share.

Ah, like in that play, "The Producers", where they embezzle money from all their "investors". I got it.

Well the biggest issue is the paper trail.

Is necro allowed for such threads? If so, then I would add ideas for fronts to promote liberalism and lining the Squad's pockets, in additions with the ones already suggested:

School: we have Teachers, right? Why not create a free school for indoctrinating attracting teenagers who could be recruited or at last become good liberals, or a vocationnal school for attracting unemployed people wanting to reconsider their career choices?

Church: create a good liberal church, not unlike the Unitarian one, staffed with the Nuns and
Priests you recruted (Religion skill has now an use).

People's dispensarie: with a Doctor, heal the poors and perform abortions (punished by prison terms/death/summary execution in C+ -and thus more lucrative, as with drugs-; one more issue linked to real playing).

Soup kitchen: distribute food -and liberalism- to the hungry.

People's bank: some micofinance for the needy -and some occasion of embezzlement-.

Radio station: spread the good liberal parole (see Liberal Guardian)

The prospective employees could be:
-Teenagers;
-Adults;
-Students;
-Illegal Migrants.
Prisoners, Child Wokers could be hired but could make the manager lose some juice.

I wouldn't call it a necro, the last reply was only a couple weeks ago and this board doesn't move fast.

I like these.

Radio station: spread the good liberal parole (see Liberal Guardian)
I'm unsure about this one. It seems like it would be very hard to balance. It also has the problem that setting up a business front is generally meant to be something legal to avoid police interest, whereas I believe radio broadcasting is a legally dodgy area.

I'm also unsure about how to implement different kinds of workers. I'm not opposed to having different worker types, I just can't see how it could be implemented within the scope of the LCS. After all, business sims are a category of game on their own, and we don't want "Liberal Crime Squad" to become "Liberal Accountancy Agency with a bit of crime on the side".

Like for the Guardian, we could determine the legality from Free Speech: at C+ anyone who broadcast without a licence (reserved to the big CEOs and the CCS) or who spread "seditious messages" -liberalism- will be punished by an one-way trip to the chair and, at L+,  there is absolutely no regulations (IRL, Los Angeles don't even require newspapers to have a business licence).

As for the balance, radio stations could require:
-engineers, technicians or people with a high level in Science;
-a great deal of money;
and could attract CCS attention, so that radio stations don't become instant-win by enabling excessively eased moneymaking (donations, -ads for liberal business only!-) or propaganda liberalism promotion.

The prospective employees could be:
-Teenagers;
-Adults;
-Students;
-Illegal Migrants.
Prisoners, Child Wokers could be hired but could make the manager lose some juice.

I wanted to speak about the existing professions one is able to meet during play.

CCS attack repelled

SEATTLE, WA -- A raid has gone horribly wrong today at the Hopkins Abortion Clinic. Six men, all armed with M16s, have entered the clinic this morning. As one of them pulled out a gun and pointed it at one of the clinic's employees, the clinic's security team was called in. The ensuing fight resulted in two of the attackers being shot and wounded, the other four escaping. No employees or clients were hurt in the process. The police later identified the attackers as members of the Conservative Crime Squad. (cont. on p. 7)
