Is anyone noticing the mineral suddenly drops and is less common even you put in 100 the mineral scarcity in the world generation?

Even I reach the second cavern without find any Iron o the basic metals ores at all.

Ever tried "reveal" or "prospect all"?

No, but before was plenty of minerals so no need for reveal it via DFhack or anything. So now the mineral is reduced right?

i've had it a few worlds where more than half the zones had little metal and quite often not having iron or platinum for research.  then using a few dwarves on praying for metal

it takes awhile to find a good area.  although we could ask the caravans to bring metals or try to use the alchemy system if you have a lot of 1 metal

Sometimes it is, and sometimes for a good portion of your world.  If you have a requirement for metals, you should use "prospect all" in dfhack when searching for an embark site.  Otherwise, maybe you get a lot, maybe you get nothing.  If most of your worldgen is "nothing" and you want metals, you may need to regen.

I find that 1800-2200 is a good range for minerals.  The higher you go, the more likely iron and flux are to appear, but the less overall metals you get.

Mmm ty all for the advices, so I need going more up about mineral scarcity numbers, and not low (the Steel are the most handy metal in game so Ill go for the Saint advice plus prospect hack)
