Let's Play History games! Stream -Offline-

First pick, my favorite, a golden oldie!

The War Between the States
http://www.matrixgames.com/products/357/details/Gary.Grigsby's.War.Between.The.States

Game features from Matrix Games website
-Use wisdom and strategy to appoint the best leader for the job With an innovative new system, units train and function best with the right leader. Weigh the strengths and weakness of the men commanding your armies to maximize unit attributes like attack, defence, movement, initiative probability, and training.
-Play on the edge of your seat with a suspenseful battle resolution system Watch the push and pull of forces as the battle unfolds that will make or break your plans resolve.
-Master critical Cavalry Scouting and Raiding and penetrate deep into enemy territory - With the optional Fog of War rule, cavalry scouting becomes even more important. The Confederate early war cavalry advantage is accurately simulated.
-Achieve naval superiority with a realistic and complete naval war model Harass and interrupt critical trade routes with a Union blockade and or Confederate commerce raiders. Build river gunboats and transports to control the Father of Waters and conduct amphibious assaults by river or sea.
-Fortify and Entrench Entrench your armies and build permanent fortifications to protect strategic locations and interdict river movement.
-Conserve your Political Capital Use it prudently to call for new troops, change leaders and enter neutral states. Build it up through successes and keep it high enough to secure final victory.

I'm going to be doing a Let's play series on GGWBtS. It's My favorite game from Matrix game and I'm a big fan of Civil War history.
My aim is as follows:
-To show the game in all its glory.
-To explain some of the strategies i've learnt in the years.
-To explore the history of some of the historical elements of the game, generals/strategies etc.
-To win(Hopefully)

If people are interested I could stream it, but if not I'll just record and upload the games to Youtube.
I will stream at 9PM GMT here http://www.twitch.tv/shaunchattey

After the first few, one of three possible things will happen:

1)Some people turn up and recording goes fine, I'll keep streaming. It would be good because I could get some input on who to put in command or what strategy to play from you guys etc!

2)No one turns up, I'll just record and upload the videos to you tube. It's fine, I'm passionate about history and this game, others may not be!

3)The time I picked is bad for people, I could probably reschedule, but I don't foresee an issue.

A message of caution however, the game is turn based strategy, it is not incredibly action intensive and while I will try to go over strategies, game play mechanics and make historical comments, it's not for everyone!
It is a damn hard game though!

Once again,

the details:
Stream - http://www.twitch.tv/shaunchattey
9PM GMT every day for about an hour*
*If this turns out to be too much, I'll reduce it to once every 3 days or week. Weekly would allow me to prepare some strategies better and maybe be more informative.

P.S. There are alot alot of 'professional' streamers now, I'm not one. I receive no 'ad money' from it and will not do so. I do it for fun and sharing alone. I'm not trying to rope bay12ers in for profit, though thats a very dwarvenly idea  ;D

Let me know if you're interested! If it goes well, I'll do more, preferably historical ones!
