Alright, with the first pass done I'll be the first lens, and I'm going to pick the colonization of the solar system as my focus.

Start of the G.M. (Giant mecha) program
One of the colonies starts a program to build giant robots to defend themselves against the asteroid creatures, should they be hostile.
(A event after the Discovery of the Asteroids)

Looks good, but you could specify which colony it making them. As it is you're leaving it to someone else to decide.
