The Incoming King question
« on: March 01, 2008, 07:12:00 am »

I've just got The Incoming King on my nobles screen, and currently I'm finishing my roads. And in this place a question pops in:

If the population of my fortress is already above polulation cap (due to some unwanted pregnancies) will the King eventually come? Or do i have to change the population cap and wait for the next immigration wave (which seems logical)?

Or if I dispose of, lets say: 20 dwarves, will the King still come?
Will my land be depromoted to County again?

Population Cap does not affect pregnancies. That would be the "Child" Cap.

When i limited the population cap, I've also set Baby_Child_Cap to 0, but still some old pregnancies were existing and few baies were born.
Anyway, it's not the matter of my question.

Now i have reached (and crossed) Pop_Cap, so do I have to set it higher in order to allow the King to arrive with new migration wave?

Ok, so I've raised Pop_Cap (my poor CPU), but the King didn't arrive with the latest migration wave, any suggestions why?

You said you've finished the required roads, but just to be sure: you've also donated enough to the dwarven caravan (it takes a while for them to get home for it to register) and built sufficient architecture, right?

I've already had sufficient architecture value, and all requirements are blue now (fulfilled), including offerings to dwarven civilisation. He's still not coming.
