Just press "q" and go over the door, then "x" will remove it. It will be returned to your furniture stockpile.

And it's the same process for every you can (b)uild : beds, containers, workshops...
Though I'm wondering, is it possible for walls, stairs and floors ?

(b)uild (C)onstructions need to be (d)esignated to remove. I don't remember the key, but you should see it in the menu.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

It's worth noting that for the purpose of removing things [t] works just as well. I like it, because [q] seems to be more about options, while [t] seems to refer more to the construction of it. (What it's made of, specifically.)

Oh, and also it used to be that you had to use [t] for some things.
