Value of bridges
« on: August 18, 2013, 03:48:19 pm »

just curious what formula is used for bridges to calculate their value. there's nothing about it here http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/Item_value. I was checking my wealth the last time I built one and it jumped significantly once I put in a mechanism to link it to a lever. the mechanisms was worth 90 and I had an increase of 450 (360 architecture, 90 displayed). that seems very high to me...bug or intended multiplier?

Three mechanisms and I guess the lever is worth architecture points, too.

Yep, bridges gets architecture multiplier for it's overall value. Sounds like your bridge's got multiplier of 5 on top of everything. I think value multiplier is added up from the archiect's quality and metalsmith/carpenter/mason's quality.

It's not in item value because it's whole separate mechanism.
