The Human Pobe Ariagen has come!

Some things just arrived at my fort.  First a minotaur, then almost right away "The Human Pobe Ariagen", who is "A medium-sized creature prone to great ambition."  My weapon traps made quick work of the minotaur, but the Pobe got caught in a cage.   When I go look at him, he is Friendly (Caged).  I've never had a popup announcement for a friendly creature before.  What does he want?  What's a Pobe anyway?  And if he's friendly, why did he trigger my cage trap?

You found a werebeast. He's marked friendly until he transforms. Also, Pobe is his name.

Yeah, sometimes they turn back into the sentient race they were at first before find them, and the message will look a bit weird like that. Kill him or lock him away before he changes again and don't let him bite.

Or chain him up and make your recruits fight a werebeast. Laugh at their failures.

Long as you don't mind your entire fort getting infected or killed off by the recruits.

Build a trap room with him and maybe a few other animals that you aren't too attached to, and every time a transformation happens to coincide with a siege, herd them into that room and release the beasties.

If you're careful and very, very, VERY lucky, you can use him to turn your military into a werebeast army!

Note: Were means "Human", so wouldn't the proper term be 'dwarfbeast?'

"Wer" means "human" in Old English. If we're going for an exact equivalent, we should use the Old English of "dwarf," which is "dweorg." The term should be "dweorgbeast."
