You are That One Technician at NERV: Weaboo engage

Neon Genesis Evangelion related stuff ahead! Watch for possible spoilers, but guaranteed stupidity.

In EVA, there are 3 major divisions in the NERV characters. The ones who fight, the ones who command, and the scientists. Out of the scientists, there's only one that really matters. Ritsuko Akagi. But, the only reason she really matters is the ending. Then there's the other scientists. What do they even do? Do they just sit there, watch the screen, and wait for someone to go "IT'S AN ANGEL!!!!!"?

This game is about them. The guys who didn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but they still have a story to tell.

You're that techie. You know, the one techie. You watch the screen, sit under Ikari, and try to pretend you matter. But, hell. You've been at NERV long enough to know that this place was the definition of dead end job. Too old, not to mention too emotionally stable to get in one of the big robots, not Ikari, Dr. Akagi, or the field commander. Katsuragi. Even if you were in the security detail, you'd at least have somewhere to do, but you had to go and sign up to be one of the technicians. It sounded interesting, at least. Turns out, it's a lot less examination of the EVA's internal mechanisms, and a lot more sitting around and staring at screens. The big one, then back to your smaller one. Then back to the big one, then back to the small one. No wonder some people bring magazines.

Christ. How long had it been since the last angel attack, even?

You open one of the drawers on your metal desk and pull out some papers. Leafing through them, you find the ones you want eventually. It's your own file, and your contract. Occasionally, you've considered just ripping the contract to shreds. That wouldn't do anything though. You move onto the file.

It's censored. From yourself. Only at NERV would they be so secretive that they would keep information about yourself, from yourself. Initially, it sort of made you scared. What could they know about me that they'd want to keep from me? But, it doesn't really matter in the long run, right? You take a look at the attractive face gracing one of the papers, before looking at all the text beneath it.
