How many bars does it take to smelt each weapon? Can't seem to find it on the wiki.

You mean forge?

Then one bar unless it's adamantine, with adamantine I'm not sure.

Cool, but wouldn't this likely lead to tongues having a '[SPEACH]' tag, and thus via necromancy we would have nearly unkillable reanimated tongues following necromancers spamming 'it is sad but not unexpected'?

Smelting is turning ore (which is a stone) into bars of usable metal.  You get 4 bars of metal from each chunk of ore.  Usually.

Forging is turning the bars of metal into finished products like battle axes and breastplates.  It takes 1 bar to make a battle axe (or any other weapon), 1 bar to make a stack of 25 bolts, and 1-3 bars to make a piece of armor, depending on which piece it is.
