Interesting age change
« on: July 13, 2013, 06:22:54 am »

I was wondering if this was a common occurence or a rare one? In my most recent world gen there was Age of myth -> Age of legends -> Age of heroes -> Second Age of heroes, then i did not check for a while and found this http://i.imgur.com/yjAnvFQ.png

The third age of legends. Sadly DF crashed after that but i will try to recreate the results.

P.S. Where do i find that worldgen file so i can share if anyone is interested

If it crashed I doubt you can find world gen files at all - they are exported from legends mode, and if world gen crashes, you cant export them. Soundsense hovewer shows parameters in world gen phase.

Third age of myth is pretty rare but still far more common than, for example, age of twilight or age of fairy tales. Myth-Heroes-Legends cycle is taken directly from the amount of "beasts" - if there is lot of megabeasts/semimegabeasts/demons/night trolls/werecreatures/necromancer, more likely it will be age of myth. When those thing get killed, the age will be age of heroes, and when most of those are dead it will be age of legends. If then some king decides to become a necromancer or some werecreature spreads the curse a lot, it may revert back into age of heroes/myth.
