How do you exit DF without saving?

So, how do you, without killing it with task manager?
 If this is unavailable because doing it would be poor form, is there some newbie mode for people like me to do the equivalent while we figure out what the hell is going on in this game?
 I'm just trying to save a bit of time here.

DFhack has a command called die that kills it.

DFHack die command is the easiest.

Barring that, crash it from Task Manager.

without task manager? i do not see why, all pc has it (or kill command on linux if you use that)
but on the other hand do not stress about it, if you scruw up too much just make a new fort, that is a good way to learn too.
