How does the breath attack of frost wyrms compare in destructive potential to dragonfire?

I can tell you without even looking that dragonfire is far more destructive.

What if it is particularly foggy? Will the Frost Wyrm breath turned everything into ice blocks?

Now we just need fog I guess...

Frost breath takes a tad longer to kill you than dragonfire. If if hits you enough times, though, it will literally freeze your clothes off and you will freeze to death. Frostbite will result almost instantaneously, and your limbs stop moving after a while.
Fire melts you.

No. Water, yes.

I say dragonfire is more destructive because if it hits grass, the grass sets fire. It's bad.

Dragonfire doesn't ignite grass though, it turns it into ash instantly. Occasionally a person, or any of their remaining clothing might start something up, but it's definitely not guaranteed. Not that a fire afterwards is really the issue when it comes to dragonfire.

Edit: Damnit Verdant, now I want to raise dragons...

So what you're saying is, that you can throw water at a frost wyrm's breath to block it?

So if you captured one and positioned it in a way as to make it breath when wanted, you could create a ice gun...

Where does one find a Frost Wyrm?

Thanks for the info, everyone!  I tried some arena testing with frost wyrms, but it was killing things too fast with melee strikes for me to really see any effects from the frost breath.  So I started pitting them against dragons.  Wow... I didn't realize the power of frost wyrms!  Even when hit by several blasts of dragonfire, frost wyrms were usually able to kill dragons with melee attacks before they died.  After several one-on-one fights, I upped the number of dragons.  It took 3 dragons to successfully kill a frost wyrm :o.

I once did a monster which seemed to instakill everything with its injected ultracold venom on its main attack. Was unintended as well since I had a type on the temperature.

Only water with depth.

Would it hold thoug? Ice melts instantly, so I imagine the ice wall would a)cave in unless connected to a side b) melt the next tick anyway.

Not sure if this was fixed but a while ago I had a frost wyrm appear outside my fort and chased a kitten around the map for ages, and it was actually causing itself to bleed by (I guess) running through it's own breath attack. If that's possible, there was nothing on the combat report. It seemed to heal itself before much damage was done though.
