The deep drow queen
« on: July 05, 2013, 07:02:47 pm »

Hi,

the thing that u are about to read happened in the 3c version of this mod, i'm not entirely sure that this is a bug, since i have seen something similar before (http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=39897.0)

ok, starting out.... i was playing my "main" fort, nothing special. the barony recently arrived was made and a drow caravan was leaving because their forest spiders got killed in a goblin ambush. it was a standard fort for me, nothing weird.  but then the typical announcement popped out : "the queen has arrived with her entourage" (or something like that). i was so happy because i didn't had a king/queen in a long time (because this game is fun), so i checked where she was coming from, she made into the fort safely but i realized that her sprite wasn't the dwarf one (the skin was more darker than normal) and my surprise is that she isn't a dwarf queen, not even a drow queen but a deep drow queen

there are some pics for the skeptical

My main question: : is there a way to make the queen a citizen of my fort (maybe a dfhack script?) to give she a room and maybe make demands because at the moment i can see her in the in the noble screen and the citizen but it's "tame"

yeah, i will post more information about this deep drow life and yeah i can post the save for those who are interested (just ask)

OH and sorry for the shitty english, i'm spanish  :P

It happens. Haven't seen it in Fortress Mode myself, but it's not super uncommon in general as far as Civs go.

Not sure how I read your post and completely glazed right over the question part.

I'm really not sure, but have a feeling there isn't.

Transform her into a dwarf and then modify the hire guard dfscript slightly and she'll join your civ.

Go to the raws, find one of the more common boil stone transform reaction things, remove its syndrome and replace with transform to dwarf, reload the save, drag her to the workshop, run reaction, transform her then revert change to raws.
