Quick question about my dwarves abilitie to throw.

If I would dig a chasm and place a garbage zone there would my dwarves be able to throw things down the chasm?

If you dig a chasm and place a garbage zone NEXT to the chasm, dwarves will walk up next to it and drop shit down it.

There is an excellent story of a guy fighting back HFS using this method.
