Macros, are they in, not, or not well supported yet?
« on: October 15, 2007, 04:06:00 pm »

It *looks* like there's some kind of support for macros* from a cursory glance at (IIRC) the init file.  However, I'm not completely sure about messing with it and AIR fiddling a little with it didn't seem to do much.  Are they in, not in, or just not completely fleshed out yet?  Obviously they're not configurable from the normal game yet, which is a shame but even moddable macros would make things like, say, wrestling so much easier.

* - Macros, by the way, are basically combinations of keypresses.  An example set for throwing a rock at your own space could be tg[Enter] (IIRC there's a code that represents Enter/Return, but I can't quite remember it).  I'd apply it to wrestling, obviously, by making it so I *didn't* have to press, like, 3 or 4 buttons to continue ripping out someone's throat/breaking someone's joints.

What you've discovered by browsing the text files are the bindings for keyboard shortcuts. They're editable both via that file and within the game.

There are three things I know about dwarves:
1. They've got beards. Even the women.
2. They're short. Especially the women.
3. They're Scottish.
