like in adventure mode, I've no clue what to do, I don't know where to start, I don't know how to build stuff or look at dwarves thoughts and I don't know how to give commands, help!

The ? key in game is where you need to start (shift+? keys together, otherwise you're pressing /)

And if that doesn't work, it's because you have a different keyboard layout from what the game assumes. I.E. it's not the US keyboard layout. I think ? is the lower key beside "enter" or possibly next to one of the shift keys.

Read the "my first fortress" or whatever it's called. It has info on what stuff you should be doing during your first year. Check out "Navigating the many menus" for more detailed information on how to play.
