So one of my masons was possessed, and I remembered that you could get ridiculously valuable artifacts by using burrows, so I put a burrow over my rock stockpile and assigned her to it, then left her to her own devices for a while.

When I removed the burrow, she collected the remaining materials, then promptly produced this: http://pastebin.com/XYxKG7x2

I've not yet read the whole thing myself, but it's worth 854400☼, and made of nothing more than stone, leather, and a bit of metal.

Quite a pity she was possessed and doesn't remember any of the process.

Edit : I always love how descriptive and personal the pictures are. It's not just the soldier killing a goblin, it's a soldier killing *this* goblin, with his full name and probably a reference list of notable deeds. I can almost imagine combatants shouting all this at eachother before they fight, like people do in adventure mode. That and the whole fort must have perfect recall.

Ofcourse it was a bug. That much should've been obvious from OP's description of how this coffin came to be.
