remove the cage traps. traps are impassable for wagons. Or make a new design so that traders can get to the depot but invaders can't get into the fort

I've got a 20yr old fortress, with 154 dwarfs.  Its lagging really hard, so what I did to pass the time between vile forces arriving, was to paint travel areas, and lay down roads, both dirt and paved.  I'm hoping this helps with lag some.  I've also started using Autodump Destroy in DFHack to alleviate low quality crafted clutter in the many specific workshops.  Another fun megaproject to do, is to funnel all three caverns into one giant trap.  Take care, Knutor

recently traps block wagon paths, so you need to make sure there is no trap in the way between the depot and the outside, quite annoying security wise i know..

also shift-d shows you where caravan wagon can travel, you want the areas outside you fort to have a line of W(or a chaos of W is more likely on most maps

if shift-d shows the outside area as all X then the wagons cant travel all the way
if that happens you can trace a line of W from your trade depot where it will suddenly stop at the problem area that blocks traffic
