Dwarves wont operate Wood Oven in Masterwork

Ive enabled the profession with many dwarves in Therapist, but none of them will go near the wood oven to make charcoal. They built the workshop no problems, they just dont work in it.

In Vanilla I have gotten dwarfs to operate the wood oven with no previous skill in wood burning, but they dont in Masterwork Mod.

Is this a bug? Any suggestions would be much appreciated

I haven't had a problem getting someone to run the Wood Oven.  Make sure that your wood stockpile is in the same warren as your oven.

Give a dwarf a Fishpond, couple of buckets, build a Fishery, and enable Fishfarming labor; you feed him for a lifetime. (And get someone to clean and prep the fish)

If they built it just fine then it should be useable. Did you add burrows after it was built? or have stockpiles designated to give to the oven that aren't getting any wood in them?

Thanks.

Ill try designating wood from the (nearby) wood stock pile for the oven and see if that helps. Ill also build another wood oven or two, to hopefully chastise them for being lazy.

Discovered issue, need "Oven Operating" enabled as opposed to "Furnace Operating" .... pretty sure that "Oven Operating" doesnt exist in Vanilla ... live n learn

Nope, in MW 3.0 the caste system was introduced, and a lot of the vanilla jobs have been changed to make room for the new castes like the runesmith or the ambassador. As a result the kiln, the wood furnace and the glass furnace? have been renamed to "Ovens" and the 3 jobs merged into one, the Oven Operator.

By the way, the job is not Furnace operator in vanilla, but 'Wood burner'....
